A lot of people may have been to war, but not in combat. Marines have always seen combat. Im one, amongst the brotherhood. Once a lost soul, found-created; sharing   experiences through art. Fighting words for hope into the hopeless.

if I die today, i would be grateful for so many yesterdays

Drew Lucas

Upon graduating from Cal State University Northridge, with B.S. in Recreation Tourism Management, Drew went on to reenlist in the United States Marine Corps as a Second Lieutenant in spring 2018, assigned to 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, Bravo Company. leading offensives in Aleppo, Syria. While conducting operations, an RCIED was denoted, followed by an enemy ambush by Islamic State. Sergeant Drew Lucas was killed in Action December 26th 2018.

He was there when we needed him the most, gave when we had nothing, and loved us when we failed to love ourselves.

Killed In Action Aleppo, Syria

If I die today, I would be grateful for many yesterdays. Time spent with the ones that mattered and ones whom mattered that I shared little time.

If I die today, you might remember my smile but instead; focus on the reason it dressed my face.

If I die today, you’ll remember when you needed me and I was there, instead remember when we where there together- only because we wanted to be.

If I die today, some will say it was an honor to know him; but instead the honor was in the times we shared because of the respect we gave one another.

If I die today, stand tall, approach the world with love, never let actions of others dictate your own, do good, follow your heart, and most of all – if you’re going through hell keep going.

If you live today, live with these words. For my life will go on forever.
